The Thread of Truth

A founder's journey from disconnection to intention, and how one moment with handmade knitwear changed everything.

chapter 1

THE CLOSET THAT APPEARED BARE

For decades, like so many, my life moved at the pace of modern demands. Rushing to school, scurrying to work, squeezing in the gym, and so much more. Little by little, my wardrobe shifted with that rhythm. What was once a source of quiet joy became a collection of hurried compromises.

By 2017, as a remote worker in tech who only occasionally went into the office, I realized that getting dressed had lost its spark. It was no longer about expression. It had become about convenience.

That’s when I slipped into the same pattern day after day: reaching for my “default athleisure” uniform. Not because I loved it, but because nothing else in my closet made me feel good. Everything was off. It was either too tight, too loose, too scratchy, stretched out, or impossible to move in. Leggings and baggy tops became the easiest option, but they weren’t really a choice. They were a disguise. Athleisure became less about comfort and more about hiding.

I was so comfortable being hidden that I stopped worrying about how I looked, or more importantly, how I felt. The act of getting dressed, which once carried joy and intention, had become mechanical. Rather than choosing clothes, I chose invisibility.

When I did look for something new, the fast fashion racks and mall stores only deepened that sense of disconnection. The pieces were trendy but hollow. They didn't feel good on my body, and they didn't speak to who I was. So I defaulted back to athleisure, not because it excited me, but because it asked nothing of me.

The longer I stayed in that plain uniform, the more muted I became. I had a full closet, yet nothing that felt like me. I stayed disconnected until 2022, when I finally realized that what I put on my body wasn't just fabric. It was a reflection of how I wanted to show up in the world, and who I was becoming.

chapter 2

A TOUCH OF REVELATION

I began dating in 2022, and suddenly, slipping into leggings and a baggy shirt didn't feel like enough. I wanted to be seen, to feel confident, to express something about myself without having to explain it.

But as I scanned my closet, and even the department stores, I realized I had nothing that truly reflected me. The pieces I tried on felt borrowed, not mine. They were trendy, disposable, or uncomfortable, none carried the weight or meaning I craved. That's when the revelation came: I didn't just need clothes. I needed clothes that felt like home. Clothes that could convey intention, comfort, and beauty all at once. I wanted garments that could meet me in this new chapter of becoming.

That's when I came across handmade knits.
What began as subtle frustration came to a head the moment I slipped into a knit that was beautifully crafted. Everything I thought I knew about clothing changed. The design had movement. The craftsmanship was stunning. The piece had feeling and intention because of the thoughtfulness behind the piece. And for the first time in years, I felt something shift inside me. This wasn't just clothing, it was armor. It grounded me, lifted me, and reminded me of who I wanted to become.

It was a moment that changed everything. I realized fashion didn't have to be cold or trendy. It could be meaningful, nourishing, and capable of changing the way I experience the world. That realization became my turning point. If knitwear could move me so deeply, I knew I wanted to create pieces that could offer that same experience to someone else.

chapter 3

A DIFFERENT STORY BEGUN SPUN

Rivelle Knits was born from that turning point. It was not as a business plan, but as a personal act of creation. I began crafting pieces anchored in my own emotions, making garments I wished existed when I needed them most. Every design became a conversation with myself: How am I feeling? What would remind me of resilience, or carry me through a season of change?

In those early days, I was in my Rebuilder stage, stepping into new chapters, reshaping my life, and searching for stability. Naturally, my first designs reflected that state of becoming. They were weighted, steady, and timeless. Pieces you could rely on when everything else was shifting.

But as I knitted, I realized I wasn't just designing for myself. I was designing for others, too. People who might also be rebuilding, dreaming, or finding their footing again. Rivelle Knits became a way to translate those emotions into form, to create garments that meet you exactly where you are, while carrying you into who you're becoming.

Every sweater, scarf, and top began as more than fabric. They were stories spun into knits, intentional, grounding, and quietly powerful.

chapter 4

rivelle knits origin story: our guiding thread

And so, Rivelle Knits was born from the belief that clothing should be more than fabric on our backs. It should feel like an extension of ourselves: soft, grounding, and powerful. Every decision we make is stitched with intention.

Our artisans are the heart of that process. Each piece is hand-knit in small batches, never mass-produced and designs are never repeated in the same way. With only about 40 units per style, every garment holds the quiet individuality of the hands that made it. Subtle variations become part of its beauty, proof that it was crafted by a person, not a machine.

The materials, too, carry their own story. We source organic Pima cotton for its silky durability and baby alpaca for its warmth and lightness. The fibers are chosen not only for how they feel against the skin, but for how gently they return to the earth. Sustainability isn't an afterthought; it's woven into every choice we make.

When you wear Rivelle Knits, you aren't just putting on knitwear. You're experiencing the weight of craftsmanship, the softness of natural fibers, and the presence of something made slowly, with care. Our designs are timeless because they're made to accompany you. It's not just for a season, but for every chapter you step into.

Rivelle Knits is more than a brand. It's an invitation: to wear pieces that reflect who you are today, to grow into them tomorrow, and to feel at home in yourself, always.

chapter 3

your story, woven In

My path to intentional living was the seed from which every Rivelle Knits piece has grown. What began as my search for clothing that felt like home became a promise: Rivelle Knits is a guarantee that what you put on can be more than fabric. It can be an expression of your deepest values, a reflection of your truest self.

Now, that story extends to you. We invite you to explore, to sense the difference, to discover the knit that speaks to your journey. A piece that doesn't just keep you warm, but reminds you who you are becoming.

Rivelle Knits garments are designed to be memory anchors. They are ritual pieces that accompany you through the full spectrum of life. The quiet mornings. The transitional seasons. The raucous holidays. The moments of rebuilding, dreaming, leading, and shining. Your story is already being written. Let it be woven in.
