Crafting Connection: Our Cozy Crochet Keychain Meetup

This past weekend, we gathered for an afternoon of creativity, calm, and charm, literally. Our meetup focused on making a crocheted keychain charm, and the energy in the room was as warm as the yarn we were working with.

A soft clatter of scissors, friendly chatter, and the occasional “wait, can you show me that again?” set the tone as we settled in with snacks, and our hooks in hand. Some folks brought their ongoing projects to quietly stitch alongside us, while others dove into the mini project of the day: learning to crochet a small, handmade keychain charm.

For one attendee, this was their first time ever crocheting, and they nailed it! With a little guidance (and a lot of encouragement), they picked up the basic stitches and proudly finished their first piece. It was such a joy to watch the “click” moment happen, when the yarn starts to behave and the pattern comes to life in your hands.

Helping people learn at their own pace and find comfort in making, that’s what these gatherings are all about. Whether you walked away with a finished charm, a new stitch in your toolkit, or simply a sense of creative calm, we’re so glad you came.

If you missed this one, don’t worry—we’ll have more creative tea hours, beginner-friendly projects, and good company to share soon.
